Welcome back to my music blog! As promised, this blog I'm gonna be talking about the amazing, terrific and very wonderful genre of modern day rap! I will be touching upon well-known rappers as well as my favorites, some of their songs that I highly suggest giving a listen to, and a little background info about each of these artists. I will be talking about 3 well known modern day rappers, including THE BEST, my lifeline, and the whole reason I got caught in a rap rabbit hole; NBA Youngboy. 

Before I start, this is probably not news to most people, but the majority of rap, like 99.9% of it is explicit, so if you detest bad language this is a warning but if you still wanna vibe, play the clean version!

To start off, the beloved Kentrell DeSean Gaulden, who goes by the stage name Youngboy Never Broke Again, which is also broken down to "NBA Youngboy" which is the universal name us fans refer to him as. Youngboy is a 23 year old American rapper born and raised in Baton Rouge, LA. Blowing up in 2017, he was also signed to Atlantic Records in August. Loving father of 11 children.. IK! 11! And he's so young haha, nevertheless he makes it known that his children mean the world to him and he would do anything for them. Now for the fun part, song suggestions! It's so hard to pick only a few because I am in love with every single song of his but just know it took me at least 30 mins to pick these for y'all. 

Pick what kind of vibe you are feeling right now because Youngboy has a song for every emotion! 

If you are feeling sad - Heart and Soul, Emo Love, No Where 

If you dig some hard and angry lyrics - 50 Shots, War With Us, GG

If you're in love - No. 9, You The One, Territorial 

Next up on the roster we have the infamous Lil Tjay, legally named Tione Jayden Merritt. A 22 year old New Yorker who is signed to Columbia records. Reaching his peak in 2017 just like Youngboy, and released a breakthrough song “Brothers”, which is one of my personal favorites.  With 3 released studio albums, Lil Tjay has become a worldwide sensation and a goat at performing in front of his fans, making them feel every lyric and melody. 

Some of my suggestions for his songs are 

• Brothers, Leaked, F.N, True 2 Myself, and Mood Swings with Pop Smoke.
